Last time in our Barista Skills Series, we practiced triangulation, the coffee tasting challenge utilized in the Cup Tasters Championship. This time we want to better familiarize ourselves with variations in espresso extraction, a key area in the quality of espresso-based beverages.
We will conduct an extraction tasting exercise that has been designed by Matt Perger on Barista Hustle. The exercise and discussion is open to anyone, but the technical aspects are definitely going to be geared towards those who work every day as baristas.
