In an effort to help local professional baristas participate in and prepare for competition events, we've started our "Barista Competition Practice Series". We'll have one night a month where we invite local baristas to hone their skills that would be used in national and world competitions like Barista Championship, Brewers Cup, Cup Tasters Championship, and Latte Art Championship.
For July, we're starting with triangulation, which is used in the Cup Tasters Championship. Participants are served coffee in groupings of three cups, with the challenge of picking the odd cup out of the group (2 coffees same, 1 different). For this practice session, we'll run mini rounds of the triangulation challenge.
Free to participate, and baristas from any coffee shop, bar, or restaurant are invited.
