A Day in Atlantis Fundraiser
This is a fundraising event towards a project called "A Day in Atlantis"; a project originally created by Mike (Miguelangel Manzanarez) to provide children a free educational field trip to the Georgia Aquarium. They want to offer kids who are from low-income family homes an opportunity to to learn about sea life with a variety of activities for all ages.
All proceeds for this event will go 100% towards the field trip costs: transportation, food and beverages for the field trip, plus free books and prizes kids can take home to remember their experience.
We'll also be featuring coffee from Mike's family plantation "Los Milagros" in the region of Matagalpa, in addition to food, music plus a welcoming speech from Mike explaining his vision behind the idea of "A Day in Atlantis"!

Taproom will close service to regular customers early at 6pm.
Painting Workshop: Watercolor Botanical Cards
Create your own one-of-a-kind botanical greeting card sets, the perfect addition to any gift. No green thumb needed! Join local watercolorist Reed Knauth as she guides us through creating stylish cards that can also double as a framed print if desired. We’ll review basic techniques and learn to build upon our existing watercolor skills before creating our very own to take home and share.

Cookie Decorating 101
Join us for a cookie decorating workshop & learn the basic steps and techniques for making decorated sugar cookies with royal icing. Working with local pastry chef Beth Meyer of Southern Peach Pastries, you’ll learn everything from rolling out the dough and prepare the royal icing to icing your cookies and adding designs. Each decorator will leave the class with their own hand decorated cookies and tips & tricks for recreating the fun at home!

We’re partnering with Little Winks to bring in a Certified Pediatric Sleep Coach for a presentation and discussion about baby sleep and debunking myths that we’ve all heard. This event is FREE!

SkillPop Class: Craft the Perfect Cheeseboard
Who doesn't love meat and cheese? In this class, learn all the ins and outs of putting together your own Instagramable cheese board from Graze Atlanta owner Pollyana D'Agostino. Get hands on with a carefully selected assortment of meats, cheeses, veggies, spreads, and plenty of extras to cut, arrange, and design your own eye-popping board to take home and show off.

We’re donating 10% of all sales on January 25th to Lanta Gras to help support their mission to build the community through music, sponsoring music scholarships and instruments for local children! Spend the day in Kirkwood for the parade and festival, or just hang out at Taproom and wait for the floats and krewes to pass by!

Kids Holiday Cookie Decorating
It’s time for our FREE annual holiday cookie decorating event for kids! Bring those littles and we’ll be ready with sugar cookies, icing, and sprinkles! Sit back and sip on a coffee or glass of wine, maybe give your kid a creative suggestion or two, and we’ll take care of the cleanup. All supplies provided, and of course your kids get to take home their cookies. We’ll have 6 dozen homebaked cookies to start, and when they’re gone, they’re gone!
Leather Marbling Workshop
Let your creativity run wild and create your own marbled leather coasters! In this class, local leatherworkers Anna and Erica of Glad & Young will guide us through the process of marbling leather. We’ll begin with learning how to make a marbling solution, get acquainted with leather paint and choose colors, and then move into the marbling of a set of four coasters (for you or for gifts!) that reflect your style and creativity. We’ll wrap up class by hand stamping each item to make them personalized perfection.

Coffee + Crafts with ATL Clay Works
Every month we host a hands-on ceramic crafting time with Atlanta Clay Works, the clay studio located just around the corner from Taproom. They provide the supplies and instruction for the project of the month, you create it and paint it, and they fire it and have it ready for pickup at their studio.

We all see the world differently but I see it through a lens whether there is a camera in my hand or not so for the first time ever I’ve decided to let everyone in. Please join me for a meet the artist evening on Friday December 13 at Taproom Coffee in Kirkwood from 5-7 to help celebrate overcoming your fears and putting yourself out there!
