We will be exploring "The Art of Coffee", discussing various aspects of coffee brewing and then narrowing down to focus on latte art "etching", a component of the World Latte Art Championship. Etching involves manipulating espresso and milk foam to draw designs on top of coffee drinks. Jonathan Pascual, the owner of Taproom, will demonstrate some latte art etching and then offer attendees the chance to come up with a design and attempt to draw it themselves in a drink!
We will also view art pieces and have a Q&A with artist/barista Whit Hagemann, who will have a "Brew Art" series on display in Taproom: custom-stencil prints of coffee-related designs on reclaimed wood.
